Travel Diaries | Quebec City

I recently spent a long weekend in Quebec City and had the best time! In my opinion Quebec City is the nicest city in Canada, filled with history and art. It has European inspiration all over, from its architecture, food and way of life. We went during the Quebec Carnival and saw a lot of ice and snow sculptures as well activities throughout the city.

I took alot of scenic pictures and have posted a few below. I look forward to going back as it is such a short flight from Toronto. I have the travel bug already and itching to go away again soon!

Travel Diaries | Mexico

I just came back from Mexico for a much needed week of relaxation and Vitamin D. Mexico was nothing less than amazing; the people, the food, the scenery, everything was just so perfect! It exceeded my expectations by far and I would recommend it to anyone. We stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal, South of Cancun. I had great experiences with Bahia Principe in the Dominican Republic, that's why I knew it was somewhere I could go and have another amazing experience.

Here are a couple of photos that really captured my experiences there. Hope you enjoy!

This picture is so colourful and looks like a postcard. I took it at Akumal Beach where we swam with the turles. Very popular beach for locals, therefore we had to check it out and glad we did!

Until next time.... ♥

Outfit | Fall Wedding

This past month I attended a beautiful Fall wedding, and of course in a panic since I didn't have anything to wear (girl problems). I struggled finding something to wear as Fall weather can be a little confusing. It can be either extremely hot or cold, however this weekend that the wedding was on was very hot. I'm glad I chose the dress that I did, and ended up finding it at Honey (of course the last store I went in to). I guess save the best for last, as they say!

This dress was simple yet different, and caught my eye immediately. As chokers are the "in" thing now, this dress had a built in choker around the neck which fell in line with the trends for Fall.

If you have a wedding or function to go to I would highly recommend Honey for dresses, they are all beautiful and the staff are really helpful!!

How To | Terrariums

Lately everyone seems to be on this terrarium kick, and I must admit, so have I! They are the cutest things, and there are so many different variations and ways you can present them. Recently I had bought a variety of succulents along with rock, moss and soil to create one of my own. I have been feeling sick all weekend and have not had alot of energy to go out, therefore I thought what better time to do this?

The succulents I had picked up from a greenhouse near my house, but now you can find them in literally any garden centre. I chose 6, as I wanted different shapes, textures and heights. When I was at the greenhouse, they also had a terrarium kit which included the rocks, moss and soil all in one. As this was my first time creating one I opted for the kit. But now knowing how to put everything together I will definitely be buying these things individually to save on cost (although the kit wasn't very expensive).

I found my bowl that I used to house all the plants at Homesense (was about 10 dollars), however I did see smaller ones at Dollarama that are probably just as good. When putting everything together, make sure you put the rocks at the bottom followed by the moss which acts as a filter and finally the soil that you will be putting the succulents in. Make sure the soil is deep enough to cover all the roots. When watering, make sure to water with a spray, as these plants do not need alot of water, and should be placed in constant indirect sunlight. I am so happy with the final product, and I think it makes such a nice decor piece.

Go-To Products | Summer Essentials

I'm back with my Summer favourites with products that I have been constantly using since the start of the Summer. Summer is easily my favourite season - I enjoy the heat so much! When people complain about how hot is i'm literally like lalala can't hear youuuuuuuuuu.

Although along with the heat comes an unideal makeup situation where it has a tendency to slide off your face. I tend to use less products in the Summer as I don't want to pile up the product and look "cakey".

If you love the smell of coconut I would highly recommend the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer (I have it in the shade light). It has such a buttery texture and a nice sheen to it that gives you a subtle summer glow, and plus it literally smells like a vacation, absolutely in love!

I have also been obsessed with liquid lipsticks as you can count on them staying in place for most of the day. My favourite (in the picture above) has to be Kat Von D's liquid lipstick in Bow n' Arrow. This shade is a perfect nude that doesn't look too dark on fair skin. The other liquid lipstick that I have been loving is Too Faced Melted Matte Liquefied Long Wear Matte Lipstick in Feelin Myself. This shade is the most perfect coral for the summer. It is bright and a statement lipstick but really gives off that Summer vibe! If I had to pick between the two I still love Kat Von D's formula a little bit more, along with the doe foot applicator. The only downside to Kat Von D's line is it tends to not have as much of a selection when it comes to bright colours.

My third favourite are bright nail polishes. I'm constantly wearing nail polish throughout the summer, and I wait all Winter for when I can wear those bright, fun Summer colours again! I have been loving Essie nail polishes lately, as well as Sally Hansen and American Apparel. Sally Hansen's has great lasting power and I tend to not be very careful when it comes to my nails, so thats saying alot!

What are your favourite products for the Summer?! :)

Go-To Products | Spring Essentials

Spring has finally sprung and I cannot contain my excitement! When the weather starts warming up it inspires me to create and be more present. Literally everything inspires me; from nature, fashion, music and especially people. It also inspires be to create new make up looks and therefore to try different products.

I find my skin changes in the Summer, becoming more oily therefore leading me to try new foundations and primers (or that's what I tell myself anyways!). I have probably mentioned this product numerous times before but its just that good! Its the Dr.Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer. It really makes my skin smooth and calm as it has Tea Tree Oil in it. It is a little pricey but its definitely worth it!

Now for my two favourite accessories...This necklace is so cute and dainty, I love it! I purchased it from Urban Outfitters and it goes with every outfit, you can also layer it with other pieces. My absolute favourite accessory are these Tiffany & Co. sunglasses I bought. These have a cat eye shape and are prescription, so they are perfect when i'm driving!

I purchased this blush out on a whim, mostly because of the colour, and because its Urban Decay, duh! So far I am loving it, it is so pigmented and looks beautiful on the skin. It is Urban Decay's Afterglow 8 hour powder blush in the colour Crush. I also purchased the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Minor Sin for a primer for any of my shadows. It looks beautiful on its own, but really makes your eyeshadows last for so long.

Top 5 | Haircare Products

Hi Everyone!

I have marked down my top 5 current hair care products that I use to maintain my hair and keep it looking healthy. First off, let me tell you a bit about my hair. I have generally straight (with the occasional wave), thick hair. I have never dyed my hair, which I think has helped it maintain the shine. I also have very oily hair, which does get annoying, and I tend to wash it every other day. My hair usually goes very light in the Summer and then darker in the Winter, sometimes a drastic change of colour where some people actually have asked me if I dye it.

I use the Batiste Dry Shampoo all year round, as it really soaks up any excess oil that I have in my hair. With blonde hair the grease tends to show alot more. The "Blush" scent is one of my favourites along with the tropical one that you can also get.

Lush's BIG Shampoo is my absolute favourite for clarifying and getting rid of build up from products that you use on a daily basis. It keeps my hair feeling clean longer than other shampoos. It has a very interesting texture, very unique to anything I have ever used. It also smells like a tropical vacation so that's always a plus in my books.

Davines All in One Milk is something that I have newly discovered, but it everything that you would want to your hair (shine, softness, controls frizz, and is a great heat protectant). It is similar to the Uniq One products, so I would say you could by one or the other. The Uniq one does smell like coconut, which is a reason I love it so much, but it does all of the things the Davines product does! Both are great products.

Lastly, another Davines products (clearly a fan) which is volume boosting mousse. This is the only product I have found that actually gives me alot of volume. Since my hair is generally straight and flat, its nice to have that volume once in a while and this product never lets me down!
