Go-To Products | Spring Essentials
Spring has finally sprung and I cannot contain my excitement! When the weather starts warming up it inspires me to create and be more present. Literally everything inspires me; from nature, fashion, music and especially people. It also inspires be to create new make up looks and therefore to try different products.
I find my skin changes in the Summer, becoming more oily therefore leading me to try new foundations and primers (or that's what I tell myself anyways!). I have probably mentioned this product numerous times before but its just that good! Its the Dr.Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer. It really makes my skin smooth and calm as it has Tea Tree Oil in it. It is a little pricey but its definitely worth it!
Now for my two favourite accessories...This necklace is so cute and dainty, I love it! I purchased it from Urban Outfitters and it goes with every outfit, you can also layer it with other pieces. My absolute favourite accessory are these Tiffany & Co. sunglasses I bought. These have a cat eye shape and are prescription, so they are perfect when i'm driving!
I purchased this blush out on a whim, mostly because of the colour, and because its Urban Decay, duh! So far I am loving it, it is so pigmented and looks beautiful on the skin. It is Urban Decay's Afterglow 8 hour powder blush in the colour Crush. I also purchased the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Minor Sin for a primer for any of my shadows. It looks beautiful on its own, but really makes your eyeshadows last for so long.

Top 5 | Haircare Products

I have marked down my top 5 current hair care products that I use to maintain my hair and keep it looking healthy. First off, let me tell you a bit about my hair. I have generally straight (with the occasional wave), thick hair. I have never dyed my hair, which I think has helped it maintain the shine. I also have very oily hair, which does get annoying, and I tend to wash it every other day. My hair usually goes very light in the Summer and then darker in the Winter, sometimes a drastic change of colour where some people actually have asked me if I dye it.

I use the Batiste Dry Shampoo all year round, as it really soaks up any excess oil that I have in my hair. With blonde hair the grease tends to show alot more. The "Blush" scent is one of my favourites along with the tropical one that you can also get.
Lush's BIG Shampoo is my absolute favourite for clarifying and getting rid of build up from products that you use on a daily basis. It keeps my hair feeling clean longer than other shampoos. It has a very interesting texture, very unique to anything I have ever used. It also smells like a tropical vacation so that's always a plus in my books.
Davines All in One Milk is something that I have newly discovered, but it everything that you would want to your hair (shine, softness, controls frizz, and is a great heat protectant). It is similar to the Uniq One products, so I would say you could by one or the other. The Uniq one does smell like coconut, which is a reason I love it so much, but it does all of the things the Davines product does! Both are great products.
Lastly, another Davines products (clearly a fan) which is volume boosting mousse. This is the only product I have found that actually gives me alot of volume. Since my hair is generally straight and flat, its nice to have that volume once in a while and this product never lets me down!

Happy New Years!!
Hope everyone is having an amazing New Years Eve. Hoping that 2016 will be the best year yet for everyone. Whether you are enjoying a night out or relaxing at home with a good book in hand make sure you are spending your New Years the way you want to!
Here are a couple of the products I will be using to get me prepped for New Years:
1.) Davines "This is a Volume Boosting Mousse" product that is perfect to get that volume in my hair. The best part about this product is that it does not weigh down my hair. It holds the volume, yet my hair still feels bouncy and light.
2.) My new Citizen watch is my pride and joy, perfect for any outfit as it has hints of gold and silver in it. It is also solar charged therefore I never need to worry about charging it up!
3.) I typically get a new perfume every Christmas and this is the newest to my collection. Si by Giorgio Armani is my latest obsession. Its such a pretty smell with hints of Chypre, Blackcurrant Nectar, Airy Florals, and Musky Blond Wood.
4.) The Coach wristlet is perfect to hold your essential belongings in for a night out. When I don't feel like carrying alot this is my go-to clutch. 5.) This L'Oreal lipstick is the perfect red for New Years!

Go-To Products | Winter Essentials
1.) This Nars Dual-Intensity eyeshadow is everything!! I saw it online during the 20% off sale at Sephora, and just fell in love with the colour. The colour is in Dione which is a metallic champagne beige colour. The pigmentation is amazing and it has been my go-to eye shadow for the past month.
2.) Estee Lauder foundation has always been my favourite foundation. It is a thicker foundation, but it doesn't feel heavy on the face. I have probably talked about this a few times already, but literally that's how much I love it! This lasts all day, and I never have to touch up. The shade I use is cool bone, which I believe is the lightest shade in the collection.
3.) This primer is honestly the best primer I have ever tried.... and trust me I have tried them all! This doesn't even compare to the smashbox or benefit primer. This pores no more primer is by Dr. Brandt, and honestly erases my pores. It has a strong scent of tea tree oil, but if you like that scent you will love this product. It absorbs any oil throughout the day and doesn't bother my skin. I highly recommend this!!
4.) This product is the only thing I need for my hair. It is called Uniq One - All in One Treatment by Revlon. It claims to repair dry hair, control frizz, enhance shine, heat protection, adds body, detangles and best of all it smells of coconut!!! If you don't like the scent of coconut, you can get the original formulation, which is just as good. You can buy this a select hair salons and some Shoppers Drug Marts.
5.) This has been my favourite product for the past 2 months, and has significantly improved my skin. This is by Oz Naturals (I believe an American brand) that you can purchase on Amazon. It is very affordable as it is only $19.99. This is a Hyaluronic Acid serum, that helps to plump the skin and improves texture. I usually put this on at night before I put a heavy night cream. Since it is a serum, it sinks into the skin very quickly. I noticed a big difference in my skin even after two nights of using this product.
6.) This last product, I am sure everyone has already heard of. It is the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water, and helps to prime your makeup as well as set it. I like it for setting my makeup as it gives your skin a more natural finish after applying your makeup.

Halloween Makeup | Sugar Skull
Almost that time..getting into the Halloween spirit and decided to test my artistic abilities and try out some Halloween makeup.
I was inspired by the Sugar Skull that is famously known for the Mexican holiday of Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead). There are so many variations of the Sugar Skull, and its fun to put your own personality into it.
I used the Nyx cream pencil in the colour milk to make my face look more white and it worked really well! Originally I tried Halloween face paint, however it was too thick and never dried, therefore it was really hard to work with. I also used the essence eyeliner to outline any areas that needed for detail and to make my eyes look very dark.
Once I completed my Sugar Skull I realized something was still missing. I decided that purple hair would look different since its a complementary to green.
I still have alot of Halloween Makeup ideas that I want to try but i'm pretty happy with the way this turned out!

Go-To Products | Enhancing Natural Beauty

1.) Jo Malone - Although not a makeup products this fragrance is so light and fresh its perfect for every day wear. This scent is Nectarine Blossom and Honey. If you haven't heard of Jo Malone, it is definitely a company to check out. They have the most perfect scents - scents that are rare to find in a typical fragrance store.
2.) I love putting a natural colour on my nails. To me it looks really classy and simple at the same time. This colour is Urban Jungle by Essie. I think these colours look perfect with any skin tone, and any time of year.
3.) This is a lip product that I just discovered by a brand called Gosh. I think this might be a Canadian brand - which is sold at Shoppers Drug Mart. This shade is called Sweet Moments. I love it because it enhances your natural lip colour while giving it a nice sheen. Its almost like a lip balm with alot of pigment!
4.) This toner by the brand Simple has been my go-to product for a while. It really does get rid of any of that last stubborn makeup that i still on my face after washing, and leaves my face feeling very calm and refreshed, without over-drying and irritating my skin.
5.) Wow! I cannot say enough goods things about this product. This is by the brand First Aid Beauty and is called the Facial Radiance Overnight Mask. I rub it into my skin before going to bed and when I wake up in the morning my skin looks 10x better. Its glowing, radiant - all the things that it claims to do, it does! It allows
6.) I have talked about this before, and I am still in love. This is my favourite BB Cream by Maybelline because it does not break me out and gives me that natural glow.
